Micron gain ISO 9001: 2008
series approval.
Following a re-certification
audit by TUV UK Ltd on 20th April 2009, our quality
management system has been updated and is now approved to
the latest ISO 9001 standard.

New Heat Treatment Plant
Commissioned.
Micron installed a new heat
treatment furnace on 6th January 2006. The equipment supplied by Excel Heat Ltd
is a Normalising and Annealing furnace with a working envelope of 1.2 x 1.2 x
2m. and a load capacity of 2 Tonnes. The furnace features fully automated
control with programmable cycles. It is an electric furnace providing
better metallurgical
control. The uniformity of heating
and accuracy of ramping, soaking and cooling ensures the correct
combination of mechanical properties with minimum scaling.
The incredible insulation properties of the furnace casing also makes it
economically and environmentally efficient.

Mayor of Dudley visits Micron
On Wednesday 13 April 2005 the Mayor visited former
colleagues at the Micron Alloy Castings company in
Amblecote.
Managing director, Roy Bills and sales director Steve
McMurray
welcomed him to their factory. The Mayor’s former heat treatment company,
Malcolm Knowles Heat Treatment, carries out work for Micron, and both firms
worked together in the past to produce and treat a special steel coupler
override device for the rail industry.
The Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Malcolm Knowles, said:
"I thoroughly enjoyed my return visit to Micron Alloy Castings. It’s a reminder
of the importance of local companies working together to create a more
prosperous borough. I wish them every success for the future".

Micron gain ISO 9001: 2000
series approval.
TUV UK Quality assurance Ltd
carried out the assessment on 3rd June 2003. The certificate
was issued on 12th June 2003. This approval further emphasizes
the company's commitment to quality management and customer
satisfaction.
