New Heat Treatment Plant Commissioned.

Micron installed a new heat treatment furnace on 6th January 2006. The equipment supplied by Excel Heat Ltd is a Normalising and Annealing furnace with a working envelope of 1.2 x 1.2 x 2m. and a load capacity of 2 Tonnes. The furnace features fully automated control with programmable cycles. It is an electric furnace providing precise metallurgical control.

The uniformity of heating and accuracy of ramping, soaking and cooling ensures the correct combination of mechanical properties with minimum scaling. The incredible insulation properties of the furnace casing also makes it economically and environmentally efficient.
