Mayor of Dudley visits Micron

On Wednesday 13 April 2005 the Mayor visited former colleagues at the Micron Alloy Castings company in Amblecote.

Managing director, Roy Bills and sales director Steve McMurray welcomed him to their factory. The Mayor's former heat treatment company, Malcolm Knowles Heat Treatment, carries out work for Micron, and both firms worked together in the past to produce and treat a special steel coupler override device for the rail industry.

The Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Malcolm Knowles, said:

"I thoroughly enjoyed my return visit to Micron Alloy Castings. It's a reminder of the importance of local companies working together to create a more prosperous borough. I wish them every success for the future".
